The same day I took refuge from the cold into this warm, cozy, enclave, the world went on with its cycles, as usual:
~ Croatia and Uzbekistan held their elections;
~ At least six people died and many others became missing after a ferry sank off Verde Island near Batangas, Philippines, the second such disaster in as many days;
~ A tomb, believed to be that of Cao Cao, one of the Chinese leaders during the Three Kingdoms period, was discovered in Henan Province.
